Breivikeidet
We made a detour through Breivikeidet on our way from Tromsø to the island of Senja. The road follows a scenic valley towards the east. The thermometer dial inside the van was displaying a temperature dropping very fast as we were progressing towards Breivikeidet, reaching -25°C. First, we stopped in the village, to take a few shots of the colorful houses and frosted trees. Then, we drove all the way to the ferry terminal from where you can board for Svenby across the fjord.
Sun-colored fog was floating above the freezing water, making the view very appealing with high mountains in the background. After an hour or so, a ferry emerged from the fog, like a ghost vessel, quite impressive!
